Earlier this year, Katelyn James asked me to be apart of her very first workshop at her new home! I might have been stalking her home building and design process, so I was super eager to drive down to Richmond and check out her new house and help with her workshop! I designed one of her 2016 workshops at Dover Hall and knew I would have a blast designing something new!
Read MoreBrennan and I have had a wild year with work, weddings, and travel. Nine, well almost ten, months of pregnancy has seemed so far away!! Well we finally settled back home for the long haul once I was about 35 weeks pregnant and it hit us. Holy cow...this baby is coming SOON! We put together a gender neutral nursery, since we are waiting for Baby G's arrival to find out the sex, that went along with our Coastal/Farm themed decor. Hopefully I don't regret all the white down the road!

All of the place setting pieces were part of her family's personal collection. I've never seen such a beautiful collection of unique china and glassware. Our friends, Jodi and Kurt Photography and my studio-mates Nature Composed were the perfect partners to make this come to life.

Tricia and I had SO much fun connecting with other creatives talking about what works for us (and what doesn't!), going over workflows, contracting, etc. Over the past year, education has become such a critical part of our business model! Not only to teach, but to continue learning ourselves! This is something I wish I started earlier! Seriously y'all- continuing education is a MUST!!

We talked about hosting a workshop for the LONGEST time and after I attended Creative at Heart in January we decided to make this thing a reality! There are SOOOO many things we've learned over the years that we want to pass along to fellow wedding planners! The more education and tools there are available to our industry the better we will all become!
